Whale Shark Filter Feeding Plankton Bloom Philippines

Tropical bright light penetrates exceptionally clear water, illuminating a massive whale shark gliding horizontally through a dense plankton bloom. The giant filter feeder dominates the frame with its spotted grey skin contrasting against the turquoise depths. Sunlight creates a dappled pattern on the shark's broad back while tiny white particles swirl around its open mouth. Shallow depth of field blurs the background into soft blue gradients, isolating the creature's slow, deliberate movement. Fine surface ripples cast shifting highlights across the upper water column. The shark's gill slits remain visible as it processes the rich food source suspended in the wet season current. One dark spot on the flank catches the light near the trailing edge of the pectoral fin.
