Massive Grouper in Coral Cave at Sunset

Golden hour light falls through turquoise water, illuminating the rough, barnacle-encrusted rim of a coral cave entrance. A massive grouper fills the foreground, its mottled grey and brown skin textured with ridges and small spots. The fish hovers motionless, its large pectoral fins slightly spread against the deep blue expanse visible behind it. Fine plankton haze softens the background, creating a gradient from the warm glow near the cave to the cooler depths beyond. Tiny particles of sediment float in the water column, catching the low-angle sunlight. The coral wall curves around the subject, framing the dark opening of the cave where shadows pool beneath the overhang. One beam of light strikes the fish's eye, revealing a sharp, dark pupil against the golden iris.
