Leafy Sea Dragon Drifting in Kelp at Twilight

Pale green and brown appendages of a leafy sea dragon blend seamlessly with the surrounding kelp fronds in the shallow depths near Sea Point. The water holds a cool, turquoise clarity that softens the edges of the seaweed. A distant band of warm orange and yellow light from the Cape Town horizon glows faintly through the surface, casting a subtle gradient across the upper water column. The creature remains motionless, its leaf-like protrusions mimicking the sway of the surrounding vegetation. Fine, translucent textures on the dragon's body catch the fading ambient light, creating a ghostly silhouette against the darker, deeper water below. A sharp, dark shadow from a kelp stalk falls directly across the creature's midsection, anchoring it in the stillness.
