Cool, diffused dawn light falls through a thick sea haze hovering over the water's surface. A leafy sea dragon drifts in the center, its body a dark, intricate silhouette against the brightening horizon. Delicate, leaf-like appendages extend from its flanks, creating a jagged outline that mimics the surrounding kelp. The water remains glassy, reflecting the soft, pale glow of the pre-sunrise sky. Mist rests on the air, blurring the distant line where the ocean meets the sky. The creature floats motionless, suspended in the stillness, its form defined entirely by the backlight that separates it from the dark, indistinct kelp forest behind. The edge of a single appendage catches the faintest hint of silver light.
