Horseshoe Crab on South African Seagrass Meadow

Soft overcast light washes over a horseshoe crab resting on a bed of vibrant green seagrass beneath crystal-clear water. The creature's dark, domed carapace contrasts with the pale sandy bottom and the swaying blades of grass that rise around it. Gentle ripples distort the view slightly, creating a shimmering effect on the surface above. Layers of depth recede into the distance, where the seagrass meadow fades into a hazy blue-green backdrop. The water remains exceptionally clear, revealing every texture of the crab's shell and the individual fronds of the submerged vegetation. A faint shadow falls directly beneath the crab, anchoring it to the sandy floor.
