Green Sea Turtle Nesting on Moonlit Fiji Beach
Bright midmorning light floods the shallow coastal waters of Fiji, illuminating a massive green sea turtle moving slowly through a dense forest of kelp fronds. The water remains exceptionally clear, revealing the turtle's textured, olive-green carapace and powerful flippers as it navigates the swaying stalks. Cool season air sits heavy on the surface, where slow-moving ripples distort the sunlight into shifting patterns of silver and teal. The wide panoramic view shows the vast expanse of the underwater forest, with the turtle positioned centrally against a backdrop of vertical fronds and sandy bottom. Sunlight penetrates the water column, highlighting the fine details of the kelp's translucent edges and the rough scales on the turtle's neck. One frond bends gently under the current, its tip catching a glint of direct sunlight near the sandy seabed.
