Frost Rimed Observatory Catwalk in Early Winter Light

Pale morning light cuts across a wind-scoured metal catwalk perched above a canopy of sleeping pines in Manipur. A heavy layer of white frost coats the railing edges, while condensation beads form on the cold, dark housing units beneath the structure. The foreground railing stands sharp against a soft blur of evergreen branches fading into the deep shadow below. Cold gray steel contrasts with the delicate crystalline texture of the ice, catching the first glow of dawn. Tiny droplets of water rest on the metal seams, glistening where the rim light touches the frost, and at the edge is a single ice crystal hanging from a bolt head.
