Aardvark Emerging from Burrow at Twilight

Mist hangs low over damp earth as an aardvark pushes its snout out of a dark, circular burrow entrance. The animal's coarse gray fur absorbs the fading blue light of twilight, against the pale, wet soil lining the tunnel. Behind the creature, a distant horizon glows with the orange and yellow haze of a town, filtering through the heavy monsoon fog. The ground is saturated, reflecting the soft ambient light. The aardvark stands still, its long ears swiveled forward, creating a silhouette against the bright, hazy background. A drop of water rests on the tip of its nose, glistening in the dim glow.
