Surreal Stone Furniture Cappadocia Golden Hour
by Megan Cortes
Golden light floods the layered foothills near Nevşehir, casting deep silhouettes against a sky filled with dramatic, weather-shaped clouds. In the foreground, a Cappadocian fairy chimney cave dwelling stands tall with a dark, rectangular door opening. The impossible reality rests at the cave's threshold: a wooden chair has partially transformed into stone. The transformation is seamless, with the wood grain pattern etched deeply into the rock surface, mimicking the texture of timber while maintaining the hardness of geology. Autumn leaves in shades of orange and brown scatter across the rough volcanic ground. The low angle emphasizes the verticality of the rock spire. A sharp shadow from the stone-grain chair stretches across the dusty earth, at the base of the impossible object in the tangible landscape.
