Stone Furniture Fog Gap Twilight Bangalore

by Roger Miles

Twilight water reflects soft grey clouds above a weathered stone wall where fog drifts through a narrow gap. A wooden chair sits half-submerged in the mist, its surface slowly hardening into grey rock while retaining the distinct grain of oak. The transformation stops midway, leaving the lower legs fully stone and the seat back still fibrous. Light bounces off the wet ground below, illuminating the texture where wood meets stone. Shadows stretch long across the damp earth, ending at the edge of the wall where the fog thickens into a solid white sheet. The stone grain curves around the original wood knots, preserving their shape in hard mineral.
