Endless Sandstone Corridor Near Tbilisi

by Mila Moran

Wet sandstone cliffs rise steeply under a flat noon sky, their surfaces slick with recent rain. The rock face, textured with erosion patterns, glows with a muted ochre hue against the pale winter air. A low-angle view emphasizes the sheer verticality of the formation. From a dark recess carved into the cliff, a narrow corridor extends outward, defying the building's structure by stretching far beyond the visible cliff edge into the empty air. Wind whips the wet stone, leaving streaks of water running down the rough surfaces. The impossible hallway maintains the same sandstone texture and lighting as the cliff, creating a seamless, spatial paradox where the path leads nowhere yet remains perfectly straight. Water droplets rest on the jagged edge of the overhang, reflecting the gray sky.
