Surreal Dugong Grazing on Reef Edge

Deep shadow envelopes a cold-water reef edge in Jamaica as a dugong grazes on seagrass during the last blue light of evening. The animal appears as a dark silhouette against the fading glow, its massive body outlined by a thin rim of light. Tiny buildings the size of shoeboxes line the water's surface along the frame's edges, creating a strange miniature skyline amidst the plankton haze. The water thickens with suspended particles, softening the distance into a dreamlike blur. Seagrass blades sway gently near the dugong's mouth, their dark shapes against the pale, milky water. A small window in one of the miniature structures reflects the deep blue hue of the twilight. The reef below remains a jagged, indistinct mass in the gloom.
