Dugong Grazing Seagrass in Turquoise Italian Waters

Soft, diffused light falls through exceptionally clear water to illuminate a dugong feeding on seagrass along a cold-water reef edge in Italy. The animal's gray, wrinkled skin glides just above the green seabed, its head lowered as it pulls up blades of vegetation. Turquoise hues dominate the shallow environment, shifting to deeper blues where the reef drops off. Slow-moving surface ripples distort the light, creating a shimmering pattern across the animal's back. The water remains still enough to reveal fine details of the seagrass swaying gently near the dugong's mouth. The scene maintains a quiet, weightless presence as the creature moves through the cool, spring water.
