Surreal Castle Gatehouse Uphill Water Flow

Hard coastal glare illuminates a stone castle gatehouse perched beside a concrete bridge pier above churning water. Thick iron chains suspend a wooden drawbridge, while dark murder holes puncture the upper masonry. A visible slope of concrete supports a river defying gravity, flowing uphill toward the structure's base. Fine spray and mist hang suspended above the wet surface, catching the midday sun. The water pools at the highest point of the incline, creating a sharp edge against the dry stone. Ripples disturb the surface as the liquid climbs the slope, against the rigid, engineered clarity of the surrounding infrastructure. at the edge is the water's edge, perfectly level against the vertical stone wall.
