Copper-toned light falls through exceptionally clear water, illuminating a snorkeler floating motionless above a vibrant coral garden. The subject faces away, positioned against a vertical coral wall that rises from the sandy bottom. Beyond the reef, deep blue water stretches into the distance, its surface marked by slow-moving ripples that distort the golden hour glow. The water clarity reveals individual coral polyps and the texture of the reef structure in sharp detail. The snorkeler's gear sits still in the fluid suspension, showing suspended time. Shadows from the coral formations fall across the sand below, ending in a sharp line where the reef meets the open water.
