Freshwater Spring Erupting Coral Reef Cebu

Bright late-afternoon light penetrates the clear water, striking suspended particles that glitter along the vertical column. A freshwater spring erupts from the sandy ocean floor, pushing a translucent plume upward beneath a dark reef ledge. Vibrant coral formations cluster at the base of the upwelling, their rough, porous surfaces catching the glow. The water inside the spring remains distinct and still, flowing against the surrounding salt. Tiny sediment specks hang motionless in the background, illuminated by the sun breaking through the surface. The rising column creates a sharp visual boundary where the two densities of water meet, ending in a shimmering edge that separates the fresh plume from the heavy blue sea.
