Sculpin Ambush in Kenyan Tide Pool Dawn

Deep shadow pools around a sculpin fish poised beneath kelp fronds in a Kenyan rocky tide pool. Rim light traces the curved edges of the fish's scales and the translucent tips of the seaweed. The water is exceptionally clear, revealing fine sand grains on the rocky shelf below. Slow-moving surface ripples distort the light into shifting patterns across the predator's body. The fish remains perfectly still, its mouth slightly open as it waits for prey to drift into range. Kelp strands sway gently against the dark rock, their green hues muted by the low angle of nautical dawn. A sharp shadow falls across the sandy bottom near the fish's tail.
