The fish's scales shimmer with a metallic sheen as it aggressively fans its fins to ward off intruders from its kelp territory. Tall fronds of green kelp sway gently in slow-moving surface ripples above, their translucent edges catching the early morning glow. The rocky shelf below displays rough, barnacle-encrusted textures in muted grays and browns. Shallow depth of field blurs the distant water column, isolating the fish's sharp, territorial stance against the soft, swaying vegetation. One ray of light strikes a bubble clinging to a kelp blade near the fish's tail.
