Lionfish Drifting Near Coral Wall at Dawn

Cold silver dawn light falls through the water, illuminating a lionfish suspended beside a taut rope line. The fish displays its characteristic striped fins and venomous spines against a backdrop of textured coral wall. Blue water stretches into the distance, softened by a haze of plankton that blurs the horizon. The water remains still, holding the subject in a moment of weightless quiet. Fine particles drift lazily around the marine life, catching the pale morning glow. The rope line cuts horizontally across the frame, providing a rigid anchor against the organic curves of the coral and the fluid motion of the fish. A shadow falls softly along the coral ridge where the stone meets the open water.
