Dappled sunlight fractures across rows of abandoned double-decker buses parked in the Nacala depot. The cool season air leaves the metal hulls stripped of paint, revealing deep orange rust that contrasts sharply with the remaining patches of faded blue and white. Low-angle framing emphasizes the towering, skeletal frames of the vehicles, their windows shattered or missing entirely. Dry leaves skitter across the cracked concrete floor, caught in sudden gusts that ripple through the overhanging branches above. Shadows stretch long and dark beneath the chassis, creating a stark pattern of light and dark that defines the space. The texture of flaking paint and corroded metal dominates the foreground, while the background dissolves into a blur of green foliage and skeletal tree trunks.
