Rusting Locomotives in Peruvian Rail Yard

Tropical bright light floods a quiet, abandoned rail yard in Peru, illuminating rows of derelict locomotives resting on dead-end tracks. The dry season air holds a thin, light fog that softens the distant horizon while leaving the foreground sharp. Layers of orange and brown rust coat the steel bodies, peeling away from original paint to reveal corroded metal textures. Green vines and dry grasses creep up the wheels and undercarriages, reclaiming the iron structures. Shadows stretch long across the gravel and rusted rails, showing the stillness of the equipment. The sky above is a pale, washed-out blue, against the deep earth tones of the decaying machinery. One bolt on a coupling rod catches the sun, glinting against the matte decay.
