Moray Eel in Seagrass Meadow Stone Town

Cobalt water fills the frame beneath a rocky reef ledge in tropical shallows near Stone Town. A spotted moray eel glides through a dense meadow of green seagrass, its body twisting through the blades. Noon light penetrates the surface with a flat, intense glare, illuminating suspended particles in the exceptionally clear water. The eel's mottled skin reflects the hard coastal light, creating sharp highlights against the darker shadows of the reef. Slow-moving ripples on the surface distort the light patterns below, casting shifting stripes across the sandy bottom. The eel's head emerges from the grass, eyes fixed forward, while the textured rock wall looms in the background, establishing a deep sense of space. A small bubble clings to a seagrass blade near the eel's tail.
