Dawn Moray Eel Amid Plankton Haze Volcanic Reef

Deep shadow envelops a volcanic reef overhang where a moray eel rests, its scaled body emerging from the gloom into a soft rim light. The water holds a thick haze of suspended plankton, diffusing the first light of dawn into a milky teal glow. Fine bubbles and organic particles drift slowly through the exceptionally clear column, creating layers of depth that separate the predator from the dark rock behind it. The eel's mottled skin catches the faint illumination along its spine, against the matte texture of the basalt overhang. Slow-moving surface ripples distort the light above, casting shifting patterns across the submerged stone. One shadow line cuts sharply through the haze, defining the edge of the reef structure.
