Monsoon Ruin Gym Silhouette in Liberian Court

Twilight washes the abandoned ceremonial court in Liberia with a deep, bruised blue hue. Through the gaping maw of a derelict school gym, the interior falls into heavy shadow, forming a stark silhouette against the fading sky. Thick mats of green leaves bank high in the corners where the roof has collapsed, piling up in soft, chaotic drifts. Reflected light from a nearby pool of monsoon water casts a shimmering, liquid glow onto the wet concrete floor, highlighting the texture of the damp earth and scattered debris. Wind pushes invisible currents through the empty rooms, bending the tall stalks of grass that have taken root inside. at the edge is the jagged edge of a broken window frame cutting a dark line against the soft, watery horizon.
