Monsoon Ruins and Sideways Moss in Touba in through an abandoned ceremonial court near Touba

Monsoon Ruins and Sideways Moss in Touba

by Ricardo McClain

Hard coastal glare illuminates massive early computer cabinets standing in an abandoned ceremonial court near Touba. Monsoon clouds gather dramatically overhead, casting sharp shadows across the stone floor. Thick moss and tufts of grass cover every vertical surface of the machinery, growing sideways as if gravity has shifted direction. The green growth clings to metal panels, vents, and control interfaces, turning industrial gray into a living wall. Dust motes float in the sunbeams between the strange vegetation and the weathered stone pillars. One patch of vibrant moss rests on a rusted handle, defying the upright structure of the cabinet.
