Glowing Brain Coral Under UV Light

Honeyed evening light falls through the water column, illuminating suspended particles that glitter like dust motes. From behind, the massive brain coral rests against a dark volcanic reef overhang, its ridges glowing with an intense fluorescent green where the UV reef light strikes. The surrounding water holds a still, blue silence that deepens toward the background. Textured coral surfaces ripple with the bioluminescent glow, contrasting sharply with the shadowed rock face. Tiny specks of plankton drift in the foreground, catching the beam and creating a field of scattered light. One ridge of the coral catches the edge of the green illumination, revealing the porous texture of the limestone beneath.
