Glowing Brain Coral Under Noon Reef Light

Vibrant fluorescent green patches of brain coral stand out against the dark, porous texture of a volcanic reef overhang. Sunlight penetrates the exceptionally clear blue water in distinct shafts, illuminating the ridges of the coral formations. The dry season air sits above, but below the surface, slow-moving ripples distort the light beams into shifting patterns across the stone. The coral's brain-like grooves catch the glow, creating a stark contrast with the shadowed crevices of the volcanic rock. Tiny suspended particles float in the water column, catching the edges of the light shafts. A sharp shadow falls across the lower right corner of the coral structure, marking the depth where the light begins to fade.
