Fireflies Dancing in Canadian Meadow at Dusk in beneath thin cloud gaps and stars in Canada

Fireflies Dancing in Canadian Meadow at Dusk

by Courtney Grimes

Fading blue twilight washes over a vast Canadian meadow where dry grasses stand tall under a sky punctuated by thin cloud gaps and emerging stars. Tiny points of bioluminescent green light drift upward from the vegetation, creating a scattered field of movement against the darkening horizon. A brief sun shower leaves the ground shimmering with moisture, reflecting the fading sky. The grass blades, tinged with summer gold and dry brown, sway slightly in the cool air. Above, the stars appear sharp and distant, showing the cold expanse of the night sky. Each firefly traces a fleeting arc of light, their glow distinct against the deepening blue. at the edge is a single blade of grass bent under a droplet of water, catching the last reflection of a distant star.
