Fireflies on Moonlit Trail in Płock Forest

Bioluminescent dots drift through the dense canopy of a midsummer forest near Płock, marking a narrow dirt path under a star-filled sky. The moonlight breaks through the trees, casting cool silver patches on the mossy ground and illuminating the suspended particles in the cold, dry air. Tiny amber lights pulse rhythmically along the trail, against the deep shadows of the surrounding foliage. The path curves gently into the darkness, guided by the intermittent glow of the insects. Overhead, the clear night sky displays a scattering of stars that remain fixed while the fireflies move freely. A cluster of glowing insects rests on a low fern frond at the bottom right corner.
