Feather Duster Worm Fanning in Blue Evening Light

A pale, feathery plume extends from a rigid, cream-colored tube anchored to a textured coral wall. The worm's delicate filaments fan outward, catching a thin rim of blue light that separates them from the deep shadow of the reef. Beyond the wall, the water shifts into a hazy, indigo void filled with suspended plankton that softens the distance. The shallow depth of field blurs the rough coral surface behind the subject while keeping the fine texture of the feeding appendages sharp.
