Hard midmorning sunlight strikes the rocky shoreline near Sydney, casting sharp shadows across the wet, grey stones. A diver emerges from the turquoise water, lifting a mesh net heavy with dark purple and orange sea urchins. The diver wears a black wetsuit and a diving mask pushed up on the forehead. Behind them, the ocean stretches to a hazy horizon where the water meets a pale blue sky. Early autumn leaves on the distant hillside show hints of yellow and brown. The composition places the diver in the lower right third, balancing the vastness of the sea and the rugged coast. One urchin shell rests on the wet rock in the foreground, glistening with salt spray.
