Hard coastal glare washes over the water's surface, creating a shimmering path of white light that leads to a diver breaking the surface. The figure, seen from behind, wears a dark wetsuit and a mesh bag filled with wet, heavy pearls clinging to their back. Late autumn wind whips loose strands of hair across the diver's face, while the background reveals open fields of dry, golden stubble stretching toward a distant horizon. The water churns around the diver's shoulders, reflecting the harsh noon sun. Ripples spread outward from the point of entry, distorting the view of the submerged world below. One pearl rests on the mesh, catching the light with a cool, pearlescent sheen against the rough, dark fabric.
