Broken ceramic shards in vivid blues, whites, and ochres litter the concrete floor of a passageway in Pétion-Ville. Sunlight floods the space from above, creating a flat, bright glare that washes out deep shadows. Wet patches on the ground reflect the scattered fragments, evidence of a light monsoon drizzle. The walls show exposed brick and crumbling plaster, framing the colorful debris. Dust hangs in the air, settling on the jagged edges of the tiles. A large piece of blue mosaic rests against a fractured column, its glaze still gleaming despite the ruin. The panoramic view emphasizes the scale of the demolition and the quiet stillness of the wet, sunlit interior.
