Decaying Victorian Mansion in Osogbo Morning Haze

by Andrew Wagner

Peeling cream wallpaper strips hang from crumbling interior walls, revealing layers of gray plaster beneath. Low sun breaks through the horizon haze, casting long, soft shadows across the dusty floorboards. A thin layer of dry-season fog drifts through the open doorways, muffling the edges of the structure. Fallen debris and scattered bricks litter the ground, against the remaining ornate molding that still rests on the ceiling. The light hits the dust motes dancing in the air, illuminating the texture of the decay. The scene ends with a close-up of a cracked window frame where a single shard of glass reflects the pale dawn sky.
