Dawn Spray on Mexican Hydro Dam Crest Road

Thick mist rests on the concrete crest of a hydroelectric intake structure, obscuring the distant horizon where low sun strikes a haze of orange and pale blue. The wet road surface reflects the glow of amber warning lights mounted on metal posts, creating streaks of color across the gray pavement. Early winter air hangs heavy, softening the edges of the massive dam walls that rise steeply on either side. Rust-colored bolts secure the steel railings, while water spray coats the asphalt in a fine, shimmering film. One shadow from a warning sign falls sharply across the damp ground, anchoring the composition in the cool, practical grandeur of the infrastructure.
