Dawn Spray on Nicaragua Dam Crest Road
Low morning light strikes the horizon haze, illuminating the wet concrete surface of a dam crest road. Turbulent water churns beneath the massive walls, sending fine spray across the asphalt and creating a slick, reflective sheen. Orange warning lights mounted on the barrier glow softly against the cool gray tones of the concrete and the pale blue of the dawn sky. Ground fog pools in the crevices near the base of the structure, rising slightly where the water's force meets the air. The perspective from near the ground emphasizes the towering scale of the engineering against the soft, diffused glow of the early sun. One droplet rests on the edge of a metal railing, catching the first hint of daylight.
