Pale morning haze softens the steel panels of a flood barrier wall running along a levee path. Wet rust stains streak vertically down the gray metal, marking the height of previous water levels. Red warning lights glow faintly against the cool pre-sunrise sky, their illumination reflecting off the damp ground. Thick cables stretch tautly from the structure, disappearing into the mist. The view rises from near the ground, showing the sheer height of the wall and the heavy, humid air hanging over the dark floodwater below. One droplet rests on the edge of a rusted bolt, catching the dim light.
