Rimed Spillway Walkway at Dawn with Red Railings

First rays of sunrise cut through dramatic, heavy clouds to illuminate a concrete spillway walkway. A fine layer of white spray rims the edges of the gray surface and rests on the bright red metal railings running along both sides. Turbulent water churns below the concrete walls, its white foam against the deep shadows of the structure. Converging lines of the walkway and railings pull toward a distant vanishing point where the light intensifies. The turn of the season hangs in the crisp air, visible in the sharp frost patterns on the metal and the mist rising from the rushing water below.
