Misty Dawn Along Concrete Canal in Salvador
Pale gray mist rests on the surface of a wide concrete cooling canal running along a dam spillway in Salvador. Wet reeds line the edges, their green blades heavy with morning droplets and bending slightly under the damp weight. The concrete walls rise steeply, their surfaces rough and stained with water marks from previous flows. Diffused dawn light softens the sharp angles of the infrastructure, turning the gray stone into a muted backdrop for the white spray hovering just above the water. Converging lines of the canal stretch toward a distant vanishing point, showing the scale of the structure against the quiet wet season morning.
