Pale morning light falls through clear water, illuminating a cuttlefish hovering beside a dark reef crevice. The creature's skin ripples with subtle chromatophore patterns, shifting from sandy beige to mottled brown against the swaying green blades of seagrass. Fine plankton haze softens the background, blurring distant coral structures into a muted teal gradient. Sunlight strikes the horizon, casting a faint golden glow that penetrates the upper water column. The cuttlefish remains frozen in mid-motion, its mantle slightly expanded and tentacles curled inward. Tiny air bubbles rest on the seagrass tips, catching the low-angle light. One shadow falls beneath the animal, anchoring it to the sandy floor.
