Cuttlefish in Cobalt Reef Light

Soft overcast morning light falls through exceptionally clear tropical water near a reef ledge in Denpasar. A cuttlefish drifts suspended in the cobalt haze, its skin rippling with subtle chromatophore patterns that shift against the plankton-filled current. The low angle view emphasizes the creature's weightless suspension beneath the overhang. Fine particles of organic matter float in the foreground, creating layers of depth that separate the subject from the distant sandy bottom. Slow surface ripples distort the fading dawn glow above. The water remains perfectly still around the animal, highlighting the texture of its mantle against the smooth, pale rock of the ledge. A faint shadow stretches along the sand floor beneath the cuttlefish.
