Sponge and Sea Fan Reef Under Stone Town Ledge

Bright midmorning sunlight falls through the water, creating shifting patterns of dappled light across the sandy bottom and the artificial reef structure. The scene reveals a diverse colony of sponges in earthy oranges and deep browns, clinging to the rough, geometric surfaces of the submerged framework. Tall, delicate sea fans fan out in translucent shades of purple and pale yellow, swaying gently in the slow-moving current. The water remains exceptionally clear, allowing visibility from the foreground ledge into the deeper blue background. Fine sand grains are visible settling around the base of the structure, while the surface ripples above distort the light into dancing shards. A cluster of small, translucent sponges glows where a beam of light strikes the textured rock face directly.
