A stark white coral skeleton rests in the foreground, its porous, calcified structure standing in sharp contrast to the vibrant green and orange tissues of the adjacent healthy reef section. The water holds a fine, suspended haze of plankton that softens the blue background, obscuring the distant wall. Light fractures through the surface ripples, illuminating the rough texture of the dead coral while the living growth glows with saturated color. The silhouette of the skeleton cuts against the brighter water behind it, highlighting the boundary between life and decay in the dry season clarity.
