Tunnel Portal Breathing Cold Air Night Levee

Deep shadow swallows the concrete throat of a massive tunnel portal carved into the hillside along a Himachal Pradesh levee. A faint, ghostly plume of cold air spills from the dark mouth, merging with the early autumn mist hovering above the floodwater below. Dramatic clouds stack heavily overhead, illuminated by a sharp rim light that traces the jagged edges of the rock and the smooth curve of the entrance. Leading lines of the levee path stretch diagonally across the frame, guiding the view toward the structural monumentality of the opening. The cold air glows faintly against the blackness, highlighting the texture of wet stone and the stillness of the water. A thin layer of frost rests on the concrete lip at the very bottom edge.
