Silhouetted Vault Door in Himachal Grass

Thick morning fog pools across the low ground of a Himachal Pradesh courtyard, rising around the base of a massive, abandoned bank vault. The heavy steel door stands wide open, its dark metal forming a stark silhouette against the bright, dappled light filtering through the overhanging tree canopy. Early summer grasses and wild weeds have reclaimed the paved area, their green blades swaying gently near the rusted threshold. Sunlight breaks through the leaves in shifting patches, illuminating dust motes and the rough texture of the weathered concrete floor inside the vault. A faint haze lingers in the air, softening the edges of the stone walls while the heavy door remains a solid, impenetrable shape against the brightness.
