Silhouetted Cuttlefish in Cobalt Reef Haze

Cobalt blue water fills the frame, thick with suspended plankton that diffuses the bright late morning sunlight. A cuttlefish hangs motionless near a dark volcanic reef overhang, its body rendered as a sharp silhouette against the luminous background. The water clarity drops off quickly, creating layers of depth where the foreground remains crisp while distant shapes blur into the haze. Fine sediment particles drift slowly in the light beams, adding texture to the empty space around the creature. The rough, porous surface of the volcanic rock anchors the left side of the view, against the soft, weightless form of the marine animal. A faint ripple of light catches the edge of the cuttlefish's mantle, defining its outline against the deep blue void.
