Cuttlefish Flashing Colors on Volcanic Reef

Dusky blue water envelops a cuttlefish hovering beneath a jagged volcanic reef overhang near Cebu. The creature's skin ripples with shifting bands of amber, crimson, and white as it displays complex patterns against the dark rock. Fine suspended particles drift through the water, catching the faint ambient light and creating a soft haze that obscures the distant background. The cuttlefish rests in the mid-water column, its tentacles slightly curled as it navigates the quiet current. Light filters down from above, illuminating the texture of the rough volcanic stone and the translucent fins of the cephalopod. A cluster of glowing plankton clusters near the reef edge, marking the boundary between the dark overhang and the open water beyond.
