Silhouetted Caterpillar Prolegs on Twig at Sunset

Rich amber sunset light floods the dry New South Wales bush, turning the foreground into a field of glowing dust. One twig rises sharply, its rough bark etched with deep fissures. Against this bright, hazy backdrop, a caterpillar appears as a dark, detailed silhouette. Its prolegs grip the wood with visible tension, each tiny claw locking onto the surface. Thin fog drifts through the air, softening the distant background while keeping the insect's outline sharp. The light catches the fine hairs along the creature's body, creating a fuzzy halo around the dark form. A small shard of light reflects off the curve of the twig near the insect's midsection.
