Dark raindrops hang suspended in the air, catching the fading golden light of a setting sun. A stick insect clings tightly to a slender, weathered twig that stretches diagonally across the frame. The insect appears as a sharp black silhouette against the glowing, hazy sky, its spindly legs gripping the rough bark. Behind the subject, the blurred greenery of a game trail near Méagui fades into a soft, backlit wash of amber and violet. The ground below is damp and dark, reflecting the brief shower. Tiny water beads glisten on the insect's exoskeleton where the light grazes the edge of its form.
