Caterpillar Prolegs Grip Twig in Gyeongju

Bright late-afternoon sunlight illuminates a slender twig where a small caterpillar anchors itself with segmented prolegs. The insect's skin shows faint longitudinal stripes against the rough, gray-brown bark. Below the branch, a thick layer of ground fog pools in the low-lying vegetation, softening the forest floor into a white haze. The light cuts sharply through the mist, highlighting individual water droplets clinging to nearby leaves. Early autumn colors appear in the background foliage, with hints of yellow and russet blending into the deep greens. The wide panoramic view shows the vast expanse of the tree canopy above while keeping the tiny creature in sharp focus against the blurred, foggy depths.
